What you should know about your baby’s gut health

Hi loves!

Today’s post is about something I’m sure we’ve all heard buzzing around lately – gut health and baby probiotics. But the question is, do you really know anything about it? I know for me personally I didn’t really know anything about gut health until I started researching more about it and found Evivo.

Baby gut health is just as important, if not more important, than our own gut health as an adult. Did you know that there is a direct link between a baby’s gut health and many conditions such as allergies, eczema, obesity, colic and potentially even diabetes! If there isn’t enough “good” bacteria in a baby’s gut, inflammation can occur and show up in multiple different forms like gassiness and a bloated tummy.

This post is sponsored by Evivo but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

You guys know that we have been dealing with many of these issues with Scarlett that seem to be related to her gut health: she was diagnosed with colic, she always seems to be gassy, and she squirms around a lot and fusses like her belly is hurting her. This is where baby probiotics can seriously come in to help! More specifically, Evivo!

EV 3

Evivo is the first and only clinically proven baby probiotic. Through my research I have learned just how important the first 6 months of a baby’s life is for autoimmune and metabolic development. Making sure her gut microbiome has the right balance of good and bad bacteria plays such a huge role in this all. Evivo has created a probiotic containing B. infantis that has been clinically proven to create this balance that Scarlett needs! Did you know 9 out of 10 babies don’t have this protective B. infantis in their gut? That’s crazy!

Evivo is offering some discounts if you are interested in trying it out yourself!

Evivo is super easy to use. It comes in individual packets, one for each day. You simply empty a packet into the little bowl provided, mix with 3ml of breast milk, draw it up into the syringe provided and give it to your little one.  If your baby has every had any sort of medication, its administered in the same way.

I know for all of us new parents we want to make sure we are doing everything we can to help protect our babies. Finding Evivo that can help with fussiness and gas was an important step in our care for Scarlett. I am hopeful that doing these things now is only going to help her even more in the future as she grows into a beautiful, smart, young woman with a healthy gut!

I’ll leave you guys with a few facts I discovered during my research – have any of you fellow mamas (or daddys) tried an infant probiotic for your little one?
MYTH #1: Babies will grow out of tummy troubles as they get older.
FACT #1: The first 6 months are critical for proper immune and metabolic development. Too much bad bacteria in the gut early in life is linked to metabolic and immune disorders such as asthma, eczema, allergies, obesity, and potentially Type 1 Diabetes.
MYTH #2: Baby probiotics are only needed when symptoms appear.
FACT #2: Probiotics are not just for fixing symptomatic conditions. In fact, Evivo is the only probiotic clinically proven to repopulate bay’s gut with the good bacteria they are missing 100% of the time, every time.
MYTH #3: There’s not enough science to prove probiotics are really helpful.
FACT #3: Evivo is the result of over a decade of research and clinical trials studying the importance of B. infantis in the gut, and the many benefits it provides to baby’s gut health.
MYTH #4: All probiotics are the same.
FACT #4: Strain does matter. Evivo is the only baby probiotic clinically proven to be 100% effective in restoring B. infantis to baby’s gut while reducing bad bacteria by 80%.
