3 Ways To Wear Trending Shades of Yellow

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week! If you live in New England like me are you finally enjoying some of this warm weather and sunshine? ☀️ I know I am! Speaking of sunshineee…(smooth transition there ehh? 😂) this spring/summer season I have been obsessed with the color yellow! I just think it’s such a beautiful color trend for these warmers seasons and I really think it looks beautiful on everyone. I wanted to share a few ways I’ve been wearing this color with you guys in case you’ve been loving it too but you need some inspo!

Wedding Guest Vibes 🍾

I absolutely loveeee this dress from Pink Blush. I think it looks so cute with my bump, but at the same time it’s still really comfy! Also bonus, it comes in non-maternity too! This dress is more of that mustard-y yellow shade and I think it’s perfect for a wedding guest dress option or really any event. Long enough that I can still dance in it but at the same time I still feel pretty and sexy in it – my hubby loves it! I paired it with some nude wedges from J.Crew (on sale!) and a long necklace that I got in a Stitch Fix Box a while back. Honestly you can’t really go wrong here though. Style it with some neutral heels and a piece of jewelry that isn’t too flashy and you’re golden. With a dress this color you kinda want this to be the main focal point so I wouldn’t go crazy with how you accessorize it. I ordered a size medium in the maternity sizing and it definitely fits TTS.

The Maxi 💛

A blogger I follow on Instagram posted about this dress a few weeks back and how it was on sale and I had to jump on it – I honestly don’t remember who it was or I would definitely give them some credit! Anywho, this dress is non maternity, hi popped belly button, and I just think it’s beautiful. I love the Maxi Dress trend so when I saw it in this beautiful color I needed it! This dress is technically, according to the website, a mustard shade too but I think it’s a bit more muted and more of a true yellow in my opinion. It’s from J.C. Penney, go figure, and oh also…IT’S ON SALE!! It’s online and only until 6/6 but its marked down from $74 to $39.99 so definitely jump on it if you like it! It still fits the bump nicely and I added a belt to add a little more shape to it. Paired again with my nude J. Crew heels and also threw on this leopard print blazer that I’m obsessed with to add a little more sassiness. This dress can totally be dressed down too, just throw on some sneaks or slides and call it good. I ordered a size medium in the dress, so I would say it fits TTS, and again it’s non maternity but there’s def room for my bump to grow more!

Accessorize 🍋

If you’re feeling a little intimidated about wearing a dress in this shade but still want to add a pop of that bright and cheery yellow I’d definitely recommend accessorizing with this color! I picked up these earrings from the J.Crew Mercantile in the mall but they’re also available online and on major sale! They’re marked down from $39.50 to $23.50 but then if you use code HOTHOTHOT they become only $17.62 at check out. Can’t beat that. They’re such a fun pop of color especially for summer and they really add a nice touch to any outfit. Dress them up a bit more like I did above or even add them to a more casual outfit like jeans and a tee for just a touch more of that put-together-look.

Like I said I really feel like this color looks great on everyone and every skin tone.
